Some taxiway and apron designations include a hyphen — for example a designation combining a letter, number, and sub-identifier — and the dash character has to match the rest of the inscription in height and stroke width to stay compliant with FAA Advisory Circular AC 150/5340-1M. This stencil is that missing character.

Available in the same five heights as our Letter & Number Stencil (72″/96″/108″/120″/144″) so it always matches the rest of the inscription regardless of which size you’re painting. Durable, reusable, and easy to clean.

This dash is proportioned taller than it is wide — closer to a vertical bar than the short, wide hyphen most people picture — so it’s easy to lay down rotated 90° from how it’s meant to read.
