Geographic Position Markings and other wayfinding surface markings help pilots and vehicle operators navigate the airfield during low-visibility ground operations under a Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (SMGCS). The arrow is the directional element of that marking, built to FAA Advisory Circular AC 150/5340-1M. (This isn't the same as a displaced-threshold arrow, which is a striped marking laid out at full scale, not stenciled.)
Every size includes a built-in orientation guide so crews aren't eyeballing rotation in the field. Align it once and the arrow points where the layout calls for.
Available in Maxi (1/10" plastic, lightweight and easy to store) or Aluminum (.080", built for repeated heavy use) construction: reusable, durable, and easy to wipe clean between applications.
